Prudent Deals is a small, family-run business based in Lillington, North Carolina, right on the Cape Fear River. It's run by Christopher Pruden, with family helping out along the way. (Yes, the name is a pun on our last name. We couldn't resist, and it happens to describe how we shop.)
We started with a simple idea: people love a good deal, and they love finding something that's actually cool, useful, or funny enough to make a friend laugh. Prudent Deals puts a few of those things under one roof.
What we do
- Pine Fever Supply Co. apparel. Our own clothing line: original tees, hoodies and hats inspired by back roads, porch evenings, snow-day bread runs, vinegar barbecue and small-town life. Every design is drawn up here and printed to order in the USA, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing goes to waste. See the designs.
- Hand-picked deals. Courses, gaming gear, kitchen staples and tech we'd tell a friend about, with links straight to the official stores. Browse deals.
- Buying guides. Plain-English guides that compare official specs, prices and warranties, and tell you what to skip. Read the guides.
- A free arcade. Browser games we build ourselves, no downloads and no sign-up. Play now.
Downhill Tommy
Our ski game, Downhill Tommy, is named for Christopher's late big brother, Tommy, who coded the first one. Mount Tommy is named for him too. Every run down that mountain is a little tribute, and we think he'd have liked that people are still playing.
How we make money (and how we don't)
We sell our own Pine Fever apparel, and some links in our deals and guides are, or may become, affiliate links that can earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you. We don't publish fake reviews or invented testimonials, and we don't claim to have tested things we haven't. The full details are on our affiliate disclosure page.
Talk to a real person
We're a small business, which means a real person reads every message. If something isn't right, tell us and we'll fix it. The best ways to reach us are on our contact page.
